At a Meeting of the Churchwardens Overseers of the Poor and
Assistants pursuant to Notice

Several Tradesmen having Sent in Proposals to serve
the Workhouse
with Coals Meat Butter and Choose according
to Circular Letters sent agreeable to the resolution of the last
Boardandthe same were severally taken into Considerations.
It was thereupon Agreed that Messrs. Windward Wilkinson (they
being the lowest) shod. Serve the Workhouse
with 60 Chaldron of Coals
40 of which to be the best Windsor Pontop or Tanfield Moor Coals
Pool Measure at 34s. P Chaldron and 20 Chaldron of Good Round
Coals on St. Thomass Day next agreeable to their Proposal.
And that Mr. Thos. Thompson serve the Workhouse
with
Beef and Mutton for Six Months Certain agreeable to Circular
Letters sent for that Propose Vizt. Beef at 1s..10d Pr Stone And
Mutton at 2s - 3d P Stone
And that Mr. Wm. Smith do serve the Workhouse
with
Butter and Cheese for the same time Vizt. with Good sound
Yorkshire Butter at 30s. Pr. Firkin and Gloucester
Cheese
at 35s. P Ct. weight agreeable to his proposal.
