Also a Bill from James Higley< no role > Carpenter amounting to £328.. 6s.. 0d for Carpenters
Work in the New Paving the sevl: Streets and places abovementioned being also read and the
Supervisor Certifying that he had Examined the said Bill which is true Ordered that the
said Bill be transmitted to the Commrs. for Payment of £78:6s:10d. the ballance there of out
of Monies reced for New Paving for which purpose this Committee signed the same

Also a Bill from Alexander Anderson< no role > amounting to £40 for Cleaning this Parish
(Except the Streets Etc. Paved under the Optional Clause) from Christmas to Lady Day last
Ordered that the same be transmitted to the Commrs. for Payment out of Monies reced for
Repairing Cleansing & Lighting and for that purpose this Committee signed the same

Also a Bill from Mr. Edmund Combe< no role > Vestry Clerk of this Parish for his charges
Expences and Payments about applications to the Honble: House of Commons touching the Act
of ye 11th. Year of his present Majesty and a Bill of the then last Session of Parliament amounts.
to £95:14s:3d. which being also read It is Ordered that the said Bill be transmitted to
the Commrs: for Payment out of Monies reced for Repairing Cleansing & Lighting for which
purpose this Committee signed the same

Ordered that the sum of £100 be paid to the Account of the Commrs. for Paving
Westmrs: Etc. for Repairing Cleansing & Lighting for which purpose Mr. Kennett & Mr. Ireland be
desired to draw on ye Banker.

A Representation from the Committee for New Paving St. Giles in the Fields dated
25th. March last being read wherein they observe that there is a charge of 348. Yards in the
New Paving so much of the Foot and Carriage ways of Sheffield & Portsmouth Streets as lie in
the said Parish of St Giles , but that no credit is given in the said Account for the Old Stones
which covered ye sd. Ground, whereupon the Supervisor to this Committee was ordered to make
his Report thereon, who accordingly now Reports that there was no foot Pavement in the said
Streets , that the Old Stones taken up in the Paving those Streets were very bad, and a great part
so small, that they were filled into the Middle of the Street as Rubbish, that some other part
was used again, and that the Pavior did take away in the whole of these Streets about 12
Loads of Old Materials at 4s/6d P Load the Moiety of which this Committee propose to
allow the said Parish of St Giles is £1..6s..0d

The Committee having read over and Considered of the Draught of the proposed
New Paving Bill think proper to remark to the Commrs. for Paving Westmr. Etc. that it is this
Committees Opinion that the Bill in Page 6. which limits the Committees adjournment to be for
not more than 7. days from the 1st. of Janry. to the 1st. July in each year shod. be altered, and
this Committee Propose, that they may adjourn from time to time as they shall see occasion,
especially as the whole or the greatest part of Now Paving is already completed in this
Parish: And this Commee likewise propose that an Amendment be made in Page 15. that ye
Inspector Report the Contractor's default by Adding or at some other Subsequent Meeting - And
by Adding in Page 19. that ye Paviors of the Water Companys give Notice of their Names Etc.
to the Clk of the restive Committees - And in Page 21. that the Notice of Confirmation of
Contracts shod. be forthwith after the same shall be returned instead of 3 days - And wher.
in Page 22 as to recovery of Money from the Water Companys a Clause shod. not be Added
that the Clk and Treasures Names shod. be sent to the Commrs. & Committees and Notice
