The Committee met for the purpose of appointing Salarys and Allowances to
their several Officers and having Considered thereof do declare the opinion of this
Committee to be that such Salarys and Allowances ought to be according to the trouble
had and taken by the respective Officers And this Committee having considered as
well of the Extraordinary Attendances and trouble taken by Matthew Chessall their
Clerk and Thomas Banister< no role > their Supervisor for one year to Lady Day last about the
business of this Committee in order to carry into Execution the Act of Parliament As also
of the said Matthew Chessall< no role > 's trouble in making out Summonses and Attending the
Commissioners and this Committee making the Rates and Duplicates Summoning
Defaulters attending the Magistrates upon hearings against such Defaulters and
keeping the several Accounts of this Committee Therefore this Committee do for
such the trouble and Attendances of the said Matthew Chessall< no role > for the time above-
-mentioned appoint unto him the Sum of Eighty Pounds by way of Salary and
Allowance which this Committee think reasonable and for the present Year the
Sum of Fifty Pounds.

And to the said Thomas Banister< no role > the Supervisor for his Extraordinary
trouble and for inspecting the several Works done under Contract of this Committee
Measuring the same attending this Committee and other business as Supervisor
pursuant to the Act of Parliament for One year to Lady Day last the Sum of Forty
Pounds and for the present year the Sum of Forty Pounds.

To George Nixon< no role > Inspector to this Committee for performing his Duty as
such in pursuance of the Act of Parliament for one Year to Lady Day last Five Pounds
and for the present year Five Pounds.

To William Betney< no role > Vestry Keeper of this Parish for making Fires in the
Vestry Rooms finding Pens Ink and Paper for the Use of this Committee at their
Meetings delivering the Summonses to this Committee and for other Attendances as
Messenger there to the Yearly Sum of Ten Pounds and for the present year Ten Pounds.

Mr. Tinkler having Complained that Exeter Court is much out of repair which
the Inspector has Returned to be so It is ordered that Mr. Buddle repair the same &
that Notice thereof be sent to the Commissioners.

The Collector in forming this Committee that the Duke of Newcastle pays
Mrs. Hutchins £10. per Annum for Cleansing Clare Markett and the Rate for the same
being only £5. It is ordered that the Collector do not call on his Grace for Payment
of the Rate.

Adjourned to the 10th. Instant.
