that she his 25 Years of Age and hath never lived an hired
Yearly Servant for one whole Year together nor was ever
bound out Apprentice neither hath she ever done any Act
whatsoever to her Knowledge or Belief whereby to gain
a legal Settlement in any Parish or Place in her own
Right and saith that James Dennison< no role > Bricklayer her late
Father deceased lived in and Rented an House in Star Court
Butcher Row in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in
the County of Middlesex for several Years but at what Rent
she doth not know but well remembers to have heard her said Father
and Mother say that they Paid Parish Taxes for the said House
and never after he quitted the said House got any other Settlement
And saith that her said Father had for some Years before his
Death been supported in the Workhouse belonging to the said
Parish where he died And saith that she this Examinant
hath been informed that she was born in lawful Wedlock in
Star Court aforesaid And saith that she is now Pregnant
and that Charles Wright< no role > Cordwainer now or late a Lodger at
Mr. Negus's No. 4 in Vine Street Hatton Wall is the true and
real Father of the Child or Children with which she now
goeth and no other Person whatsoever he the said Charles
Wright< no role > having lately cohabitedtogetherwith her this Examinant
and often had the Carnal Knowledge of her Body whereby she
conceived with Child of the Child or Children with which she is
now Pregnant and which is or are likely to be born a Bastard
or Bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish
of Saint Clement Danes to which she belongs she being
in nowise able to provide for the same
