to wit Martha Edger< no role > This name instance is in set 583. This set is in the group(s): MothersCD . aged about 26 years
upon her Oath saith that she never was married
that she lived as a hired yearly Servant with a Mr.
Lowerback in Jermyn Street in the Parish of Saint
James in the Liberty of Westmr . for Two years and
upwards at the yearly Wages of Nine Pounds that
she hath quitted said Service about Fifteen
Months since which time she has done no Act
to gain a Subsequent Settlement and further
this Examinant upon her Oath saith that on
the 14th. day of August last she was delivered of
a male Bastard Child at the house of a Mrs. James in
Milford Lane in the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes which hath since been Christened by the
Name of William< no role > That one Nicholas Broads< no role >
a Porter who lived at the Somerset Coffee house
in the Strand is the father thereof he having had
carnal knowledge of this Examinants Body
and begotten the said Child of which she was so
delivered as aforesaid and that the said Nicholas
Broads
< no role > is the only real and true father thereof
