to wit Catherine Naish< no role > aged
about 23 years upon her Oath saith that
she never was married that she lived as a
hired yearly Servant with one Miss Pearce at No-
202 in the Strand and in Wych Street both in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes for near Sixteen Months
at the yearly Wages of Five Pounds that she hath
quitted said Service about Two years since which
time she hath not lived as a hired yearly Servant
for Twelve Months or done any Act Matter or thing
whereby she might have gained or subsequent
Settlement And further this Deponent upon her
Voluntary Oath saith that she is pregnant with
Child or Children which is or are likely to be born
a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable
to the said Parish That one John Broad< no role > who did
lodge at Mrs. Willis's opposite the Dover Castle on
the Narrow Wall Lambeth and now works near the same place
is the father thereof he having had Carnal knowledge
of this Examinants Body and begotten the said
Child or Children of which she is now pregnant
and that the said John Broad< no role > is the only real and
true father thereof
