Reputed Father

(to wit) Jane Morgan< no role > singlewoman aged 23
years & upwards Upon Oath saith that she
never was Married that she lived as an hired
yearly Servant with Mr. Hodson Pastry Cook
in the Strand in the parish of St Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex for about a year &
Nine Months at the annual Wages of £8:0
or thereabouts that she quitted the same in or
about the Month of October or November 1792
and hath not since obtained any legal settlement
And this Examinant Upon her Oath further
saith that she is now pregnant with a Child or
Children which is or are likely to be born a
Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable to the
said parish of St. Clement Danes when born that
John [..] Moriges< no role > who now lives (as she is informed &
believes) [..] with the Duke of Gordon at
Gordon Castle in Scotland is the only real true
father of the said Child wherewith she is pregnant
as aforesaid he having first had carnal knowledge
of this Deponent's Body sometime in or about the
Month of February last & at several times since &
at some or one of which times he begot the same
thereon
