Gloucester to wit Hannah Swain< no role > of the Borough Market
on behalf of William Pike< no role > aged about 13 years and
Matthew Pike< no role > aged about Two years and an half
Maketh Oath and Saith That the said Matthew and
William are the Two legitimate Children of William< no role >
and Esther Pike< no role > (both deceased) who were married
at the Parish Church of Saint Bennetts Upper
Thames Street about 18 years ago That the said Wm.
Pike the Elder was born in Bristol as this Deponent
has been informed but in what Parish she this
Deponent does not know, That he never was bound
an Apprentice lived as a hired yearly Servant
for Twelve Months Rented any House Tenement
or Lodging of Ten pounds a year paid Taxes or
done any Act to gain a Settlement to the best of
this Deponents knowledge Information or belief
And this Deponent further saith that she has
been informed which Information she verily
believes to be true that Esther Pike the Mother
was born at Kingswood in the Parish of Kingswood
in the County of Gloucester but whether the said
Esther Pike ever lived as an Hired yearly Servant for
Twelve Months ever bound an Apprentice Rented
any House Tenement or Lodging of Ten pounds a
year or paid Taxes this Deponent doth not know
