To Wit, Jane Edmonson< no role > aged 34 years
or thereabouts saith upon Oath that she was
married to John Edmonson< no role > a Private Soldier in
the Horse Granadiers Jany: 2. 1780. (by Bans) at
the Parish Church of St. Martins in the fields
that before her said marriage she lived as an
Hired yearly servant with Mr Bell Bookseller
Strand in the Savoy Precinct for the Space of Two years at Eight Pounds
On Ann. and this Deponent further Saith that the
said John Edmonson< no role > left this Deponent 5 months
after they was married and that this Deponent
has not heard any thing of him since he Deserted
her in May 1780. but since his Desertion she has
Cohabited with Wm: Philips< no role > a Taylor by whom she
has a Female Illegitimate Child named Ann
Phillips
< no role > Born in Water Lane Fleet Street 1790 but
has not [..] any Child or Children by Husband
John Edmonson< no role > now living and this Deponent saith that
since her marriage with the said John Edmonson< no role >
she has never acquired any subsequent Legal Settlement
to the best of this Deponents information or belief &
that she is Quite unable to maintain herself
without assistance
