(to wit) Sarah Markham< no role > aged thirty
six years or thereabouts Upon Oath saith
that she was Married to her present Husband John
Markham
< no role > at the parish Church of Saint
Sepulchre without Newgate about seven years ago
(by Banns) that she hath been informed by her said
Husband which she verily believes to be true that
he is a native of Scotland and hath not acquired any
legal settlement in England that she hath two
Children by her said Husband namely Hannah< no role >
aged about four years & ten Months and William< no role >
aged two years seven Months & upwards that her
said Husband hath left this Examinant and her
said two Children and is (as she is informed) [..]
serving on board one of the Kings Ships And this
Examinant further saith that she is entitled to her
last legal settlement in right of her first Husband
named Samuel Linter < no role > deceased to whom she was
Married (by Banns) at the parish Church of Saint
Leonard Shoreditch about twenty one years ago [..]
and who [..] informed her which she verily believes
to be true that he never obtained any legal
settlement in his own right that he was the legitimate
Child of John< no role > and Mary Linter< no role > both deceased that
his Father John Linter Rented & resided in an
Apartment in a place then called Little Essex
