Martha Drover< no role > aged about 37 Years on her Oath Says
she is the Widow of John Drover< no role > who has been dead about
Eight Months & by whom she hath five Children now living namely Mary< no role > Aged
13 Years Wm.< no role > Aged 9 Years Elizth< no role > Aged 8 Years & Geo< no role > Aged 5 Yrs.
and Sarah< no role > Aged about 3 Years Says that her said late Husband Rented & lived in a
House known by the Name or Sign of the Fountain in
Clave Street in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
in the Liberty of Westminster for 2 Years or thereabouts
at the Yearly Rent of £34. hath quitted the same about
2 Years ago & after quitting the same he never Rented £18.
P Year or Paid Taxes Says that since her said Husbands
Death & having a Family of Children had some thoughts
of taking a House to teach School and to let the same out
in Lodgings in Order the better to suport herself & Family
Accordingly this Examinant hearing of one at Chelsea
Applyed to one Mr. Hales the Landlord thereof but this
Examinant being a Widow & a Family of Children the said
Mr.as she Acts did not & have to let the same to her
unless some Person wod Pass his Word for the [..]
Accordingly this Examinant
Applyed to an Acquaintance
one Mr. Vigures who took the said House for her at the Yearly Rent of Twenty Eight Pounds and belives
his name is rated in the Parish Books belonging to the
Parish of St. Geo. Hanover Square not withstanding which
this Examinant letts the sd House out in Lodgings and
receives Rent for the same and does now as she always did
