to wit Elizth. Daniel< no role > Aged about Twenty Nine Years
on her Oath Says she never was married nor ever Rented
House or paid Taxes Says she lived as a hired Yearly
Servant with one [..] Hugh Stratton< no role > a Carpenter in the
Parish of Saint Phillip in the City of Bristol upwards
of One Year at the Yearly Wages of fifty Shillings
and after she quitted the same she went to live a Second
time with the said Mr. [..] Stratton and lived with him at
Different times upwards of Three Years and after she
quitted the said Mr. [..] Strattons Service she nevr Rented
House paid Taxes or lived a hired Yearly Servant for
one Year And further upon her Voluntary Oath says
she is pregnant with Child or Children which is or are
likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
Chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes
she being poor and unable to Maintain the same when
born Says that one Richard Bailey< no role > who nowlately lived
as a Porter to Mr. Const a Taylor in Norfolk Street had
Carnal Knowledge of her Body some time the begining
of Septr. last but the particular day she does not now
Remember and at sevl. different times afterwards at one
of Which time he got her with Child of the Child or Children
of which she is now Pregnant And this Examinant
further says that on the 23d. day of May 1764 she was delivd.
of a Female Bastard Child at Shireness in the County of Kent
which has since been Baptized Lucy And that the aforesaid
Richard Bailey< no role > and no other Person is the real and true Father
thereof
