Mary Buttery< no role > aged about Twenty five Years
on her Oath Says she never was married nor
ever Rented House or paid Taxes Says she lived
a hired Yearly Servant with one Henry Winchester< no role >
a Butcher in Clements Lane in the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westmr. One Year
and Seven Months at the Yearly Wages of five Pounds
hath quitted her said Service about Twelve Months
ago and hath not since she quitted the same ever
Rented Ten Pounds a Year paid Taxes or lived a
hired Yearly Servant for one Year And further
Says that on the 22d. day of April 1769 she was delivered
of a Female Bastard Child at the House of one Mrs. Cribb
who keeps a Chandlers Shop in Clements Lane aforesaid
which hath since been baptized by the Name of
Susannah< no role > Says that one Thos. Wood< no role > a Journey [..]
Butcher who now lives with one Mr. Kirk a Butcher
in Gilberts Passage Clare Markett is the Father of the
said Female Bastard Child he having had Carnal
Knowledge of her on the 22d. day of July 1768 and at
sevl. times afterwards at one of which times he got her
with Child of the Female Bastard Child of which she
was delivered as afsd. and that the said Thos: Wood and no
other person is the true and real Father thereof
