Elizth. Maiden< no role > Aged about Thirty Three years on her Oath says she
never was married nor ever rented House or Paid Taxes Says that she lived
a hired yearly Servant with Mr. Rainey a Cabinet maker in Saint Martins
Lane in the Parish of Saint Martins in the fields in the Liberty of Westmr.
upwards of one year & a half at the yearly wages of seven Pounds hath
Quitted her said Service upwards of Four years and a half ago and hath not
Since she quitted same ever Rented House Paid Taxes or lived a hired
yearly Servant for one year and further says that on the first day of
February 1765 she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child in the House
of one Mrs. Gillett in Swan Yard Butcher Row in the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westmr. which hath since been baptized
by the Name of William< no role > and further sayth that one William
Richardson
< no role > a Gentlemans servant (and who now lives an hostler some
were in Northamptonshire but at what Place this Examinant cannot
set forth) is the father thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of her
Body some time in the Month of May 1764 and at Sevl. Different
times afterwards at one of which times he got her with Child of the Male
Bastard Child of which she was Delivered as aforesaid And that the
said William Richardson< no role > of no other Person is the True and real Father
thereof.
