Elizth. Best< no role > Aged about Twenty Seven Years upon
her Voluntary Oath says she never was married And
that on the fifteenth day of March 1765 she was
delivered of a Male Bastard Child in the House of
Mr. Savage a Stocking Weaver in Carey Street in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the Liberty of
Westminster in the County of Middlesex which hath
since been Baptized by the Name of William Henry< no role >
Says that one William Sturges< no role > late Book keeper to Mr. Heath
Fishmonger at Temple Bar in the said Parish of
St. Clement Danes is the Father thereof he having
had Carnal Knowledge of her Body sometime in the
Month of June 1764 and at several different times
afterwards at one of which times he got her with
Child of the Male Bastard Child of which she was
delivered as aforesaid And that the said William
Sturges
< no role > and no other person is the true and real Father
thereof.
