Ann Shingler< no role > This name instance is in set 40220. Aged about Twenty two Years,
Upon Oath says she never was Married, and that she lived a
hired Yearly Servant with Mr. Becket a Farmer in the Parish
of Whitchurch in the County of Salop for Three Years or there
-abouts at the Yearly Wages of Two Pounds, Quitted same
about Three Years ago, and hath not since Rented House, paid
Taxes or lived a hired Yearly Servant for one Year; And
further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant with
Child or Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard
or Bastards and to become chargeable to the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes within the Liberty of Westminster in the
County of Middlesex (where she now lodges) she being poor
and unable to maintain the same when born; Says that
one Saul Richardson< no role > a Ticket Porter in the City of London
had carnal knowledge of her body the latter End of the
Month of October 1767, and at several times afterwards,
at one of which times he got her with Child of the Child or
Children with which she is now Pregnant, and that the
said Saul Richardson and no other Person did beget
the same
