Catherine Deiley< no role > aged about 29 Years
Upon Oath says she is the Wife of Derby Deiley< no role >
with whom she intermarried in the Parish Church of
Wimbourne Minster in the County of Dorset about
the Month of April 1763, by whom she hath one Child
named Mary < no role > aged about four Years which was born
in the said Parish of Wimbourne Minster, says her
said husband is a Native of Ireland and never gained
a Settlement in England to her knowledge or belief,
and that about two Months after her said Marriage
the said Derby Deiley went to Newfoundland, and
is there now living as this Examinant hath been
credibly [..] informed and believes; Says that at
the time of her said Marriage with the said Derby
Deiley she was the Widow of George Collis< no role > with
whom she also intermarried in the said Parish Church
of Wimbourne Minster, says the said George Collis< no role >
served Six years of his Apprenticeship with Mr.
Thomas Madden< no role > a Cooper in the Parish of St. Clement
Danes in the Liberty of Westminster within the
County of Middlesex and then his Master died; and
that her said Husband George Collis< no role > never was
Assigned over to any Person nor ever Rented Ten
Pounds a Year paid Taxes or lived a hired Yearly
Servant for one Year And further upon her
Voluntary Oath says that since her present
Husband Derby Deiley went to Newfoundland
as is abovementioned she hath never seen him, And
that she is now pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or
Bastards and to become chargeable to the aforesaid
Parish of St. Clement Danes , she being poor and
unable to Maintain the same when born, says
