Elizabeth Masterman aged about 21 Years
lodging in Crown Court Butcher row in the Parish of St.
Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster Upon Oath
says she has been inform'd and believes she was born in
flower de luce Court in the Parish of St. Dunstan in the West
London and never Rented house paid Taxes, was an
Apprentice or lived a Yearly hired Servant for one Year
And further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is
pregnant with Child or Children which is or are likely
to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable
to the said Parish of St. Clement Danes she being Poor
and Unable to Maintain the same when born, says that
Thomas Axford< no role > a Grocer in Blackmoor Street Claremarket
in the aforesaid Parish of St. Clement Danes had carnal
knowledge of her body Sometime in the Month of Septr.
1765, and at several other times since; at one of which
times he got her with Child of the Child or Children with
which she is now pregnant and that the said Thomas
Axford
< no role > and no other Person did beget the same
