Ann Fox< no role > aged abt. 37 Years lodging at Mrs. Holtom's
in Ship Yard in the parish of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty
of Westmr. within the County of Middlesex upon Oath says she was
never Married and that she lived a hired Yearly Servant with
Mr. Clements at the Acorn in Butcher Row in the said parish of
St. Clement Danes for one Year and a Quarter at the Yearly
Wages of four pounds hath Quitted said Service abt. eighteen
Months and hath not since Rented House paid Taxes or lived
a hired Yearly Servant for one Year And further upon her
Voluntary Oath says that on the 18th. day of February 1762, she
was delivered of a Male Bastard Child in the House of Mr.
Henderson in Crown Court Butcher Row in the aforesaid
parish of St. Clement Danes which hath since been baptized
by the Name of John, < no role > says that John Crabb< no role > who was at that
time a Stock broker in the parish of St. Mary Woolnoth London
did beget the said Bastard Child on her Body of which she
was delivered as aforesaid he having had carnal knowledge
of her Body several times and that the said John Crabb< no role >
and no other person is the true and real Father thereof
And further upon her Oath says she has been informed
and which information she verily believes to be true that
the said John Crabb< no role > now absconds and is somewhere out of
this Kingdom on Account of a Commission of Bankrupt being
awarded against him.
