Mary Miller< no role > aged 24 Years upon her Oath saith that
she is a Singlewoman That she lived a Yearly hired Servt.
with Mr. Robert Howlett< no role > Victualler in the parish of St.
Clement Danes at the Yearly Wages of £3..10s for the Space
of One Year & Nine months & hath left her sd. Service 2
Months & upwards & further upon her Voluntary Oath
saith that she is pregnant with Child or Children
which is likely to be borne a Bastard or Bastards
& to become Chargeable to the sd. parish of St. Clement Danes
she being Poor & not able to maintain the same when
borne & that James Grant< no role > Taylor did begett the said
Child or Children on her Body the sd. James Grant< no role >
Lodging at the sd. Mr. Howletts there became acquainted
with her & had Carnall knowledge of her Body in the
Month of Octr. last & at severall other times since at
one of which times he gott her with Child of the sd.
Bastard Child or Children with which she is now pregnant
& that he the sd. James Grant< no role > & no other Person is the
true & reall Father thereof
