Sarah Smith< no role > Wido . Removed from the
Parish of St. Saviour in Southwark by Order dated
the 7th.. Day of August Instt: upon her Oath saith
that she intermarried with her late Husband Wm.
Smith
< no role > in the Month of November in the Year 1737
at the Fleet London that the sd. Wm. Smith hath been
dead Three Years & upwards And this Examinant
cant give any Account of his Settlemt. other than
that he was born in York as he hath informed her
that upwards of Six Years ago being at that Time
a Singlewoman she lived a Yearly hired Servt . with
one Mr. Legross in Newcastle Court in the Parish
of St. Clement Danes at the Yearly Wages of £5.10s.0d
for the Space of One Year & upwards that since she
left her said Service she hath not rented Ten
Pounds a Year paid Parish Taxes lived with
any Person as a Yearly hired Servt. for the Space
of one Year or otherwise gained a Settlemt. in
any other Place to her knowledge or beleife
And further upon her Voluntary Oath saith that
she is pregnant with Child or Children which
when born will be a Bastard or Bastards & likely
to become Chargeable to the sd. Parish of St. Clemt.
Danes she being Poor & not able to maintaine the
same when born & that one Francis Jackson< no role > did
