Alice Welch< no role > aged about 23 Years upon Oath says
She never was Marryed and that She lived a hired
yearly Servant with Mr. Hodgson a Peruke maker
in Carey Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in
the County of Middlesex upwards of a Year at the Yearly
wages of five Pounds and quitted her said Service about
five Weeks since And further upon her voluntary Oath
says She was delivered of a Female Bastard Child in
the House of Mrs. Langley in Clements Lane in the
said Parish of St. Clement Danes on the 14th. Day of
March last and which hath since been baptized & is still
living and become Chargeable to the said Parish of St.
Clement Danes She being poor & unable to maintain
the same and that Charles Price< no role > who is now at Sea on
board his Majesty's Ship the Dolphin did beget the said
Bastard Child on her Body he the said Charles Price< no role > having
had Carnal Knowledge of this Examinant Body in the
Month of June in the year 1755 at the Vine Tavern in
Holborn at which time he got her with Child of the Female
Bastard Child She was delivered of as aforesaid and that her
said Charles Price< no role > is the true & real Father thereof
