Elizabeth Davis< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. aged about 25 years upon Oath says She is the
Widow of Thomas Davis< no role > and that he said late Husband hath been
dead about four Years and further upon her voluntary Oath says
that on the fourth day of February last she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child
in the House ofin Stanhope Street in
the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster
and which hath since been baptized Thomas< no role > & is still living &
likely to become Chargeable to the said Parish of St. Clement
Danes She being poor and unable to maintain the same Says
that one Thomas Smith< no role > a Merchant who lives in Nevills
Court Fetter Lane in the Parish of St. Dunstan in the West
London had carnal knowledge of her Body at a publick House
in Holborn (but the Sign She cannot now particularly remember)
sometime in the Month of May last at which time he got her
with Child of the Male Child she was delivered of as aforesaid
and that the said Thomas Smith< no role > is the true and real Father
thereof
