Middx.

William Carter< no role > upon Oath saith he intermarried with his
Wife Elizabeth Carter< no role > at Upton Church in Gloucestershire about
26 Years ago and that about 32 years since being then a
Singleman he hired himself to one William Newman< no role > a
Carpenter in Carey Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex
live with him for three Years at the yearly Wages of £5
Dyet Washing & Lodging and lived with the said Mr. Newman
under that hiring & Agreement for three years or thereabouts
in Carey Street aforesaid and this Examinant further maketh
Oath that he has not (since he quitted Mr. Newmans Service)
rented ten pounds a year paid Parish Taxes or lived yearly
Servant for one year
