Eliz Smith< no role > aged abt. 22 Years upon Oath saith
she never was married and that she lived a yearly
Servant with Mr Jones at Kings wharf Beanfort
Buildings in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the
County of Middlesex for one year and upwards at the
yearly wages of £3 quitted her said Service near
two Years ago and has not since rented ten pounds by
the year paid parish taxes nor lived a yearly Servant
for one year and this Examinant further upon he [..]
Voluntary Oath Saith she is pregnant with Child or
Children which is likely to be born a bastard or
bastards and to become Chargeable to the said
Parish of St Clement Danes she being poor and
unable to maintain the same when born and that
James Dowce< no role > a Bricklayers Labourer did beget
the said Child or Children on her body the said
James Dowce< no role > having had carnal knowledge of the
Examinant in August last and at several other
times since (during which she Cohabited with
him as his wife) and that at one of the sd timing
he got her with Child of the sd. bastard Child or
