Elizath. Roberts< no role > aged Thirty Six
Years upon her Voluntary Oath Saith she never
was married and that in the Month of December last
she was delivered of a male bastard Child and Mr. Austine
in Drury Lane in the Parish of St. Clemt. Danes which was
baptized Jno< no role > . & is & likely to become Chargeable to the sd.
Parish of St. Clemt. Danes she being Poor & unable to
maintain the same and that she is now Pregnant
with Child or Children which is likely to be born a
bastard or bastards & to become Chargeable to the
afsd. Parish of St Clemt. Danes and that John Ragg< no role >
a Dresser at Drury Lane Play house did beget the
aforesaid Male bastd. Child named John on her body
& likewise the sd bastard Child or Childn. with which
She is now Pregnant the sd. Jno. Ragg< no role > & this Examint.
having for Sevl. Years past cohabited together as
man & Wife during which he the sd. Regg has had carnal
Knowledge of her body Sevl. times at one of which
times he got her with Child of the afsd. male bastd.
Child named John & of the Bastd. Child or Childn
with which she is now Preganant & that the said
John Ragg< no role > & no other person is the true & real father
thereof and this Examinant further upon
Sworn Novr 27.
1753 before}
her Oath Saith she lived a yearly
Servant with sd. Limmerick in Privy Garden
Whitchall in the Parish of St. Margt. Westmr .
