(to wit) Elizabeth Evens< no role > aged thirty one
Years or thereabouts, upon her Oath Saith That she
is the Widow of Thomas Evens< no role > who died at Saint Albans
about five Months ago, Saith she was married to the
said Thomas Evens< no role > about Eleven Years ago, at the
Parish Church of Saint George the Martyn , in the Bow
of Southwark in the County of Surry And this
Examinant further saith That her said Husband whilst
he was single and before his Intermarriage with this Examinant
lived as an hired Yearly Servant for upwards of a year, with
the Person who kept the Tavern called the Queen of Bohemia
Head in Wych Street in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex , next before a Mr Clark who
afterwards kept the same; at the yearly Wages of Twelve
Pounds, as this Examinant best can recollect and that
after he quitted his said Service, neither he in his Lifetime
nor this Examinant since his Death, have not nor hath either
of them Rented any House, Tenement or Lodging of, ten
Pounds a Year Value, paid Taxes or done any other
Act, Matter or Thing whereby to the best of this Examinants
Knowledge Information or Belief, [..] either her said
Husband in his Lifetime, or this Examinant since his
Death may have gained any other settlement, than in
the Parish of Saint Clement Danes as above stated.
