to wit Harriott Griffiths< no role > aged about Thirty Six years
on her Oath says she never was married Rented House
Paid Taxes or ever lived a hired yearly Servant for one
year Says her Father John Griffiths< no role > Rented & lived in a
House in Hatton Garden in the Liberty of Saffron Hill Ely
Rents in the Parish of St. Andrew Holbourn in the County
of Middlesex upwards of Two years at the yearly Rent
of £30. and after quitting the said House he never gained
any other Settlement And further on her Oath says that on
the 19th. day of Febry. 1782 she was delivered of a Female
Bastard Child in the House of Mr. Marshall a Shoemaker
in Stanhope Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in
the Liberty of Westmr . which has since been Baptized by the
name of Elizth. Maria< no role > and is become Chargeable to the said
Parish of St. Clement Danes And further says that one
Robt. Carter< no role > who lived as a Valet with the late Lord Robt.
Manners
< no role > and who now Uses Mr. Price a Cooks Shop in
James Street Haymarkett is the father thereof he having
had Carnal Knowledge of her Body at her Lodgings in
Mary Le Bone upwards of Twelve months Preceding the
time she was brot. to Bed at one of which times he got her
with Child of the female Child of which she was so delivered
afsd. And that the said Robt. Carter< no role > & no other Person did
beget the same & that he is the real & true father thereof
