to wit Mary Ann Dean< no role > aged about 27 years on her
Oath says she never was married or ever lived a hired
yearly Servant for one year says she Rented a Shop &
Parlour of one Mr. Savage a Shoemaker in King Street
in the Parish of St. Ann in the Liberty of Westmr . for half a
Quar. ofthea year at the yearly Rent of £16. hath quitted
the sd. Apartmt. upwards of 3 years ago and never gained
any or. Settlement than as aforesaid And further
on her Oath says that on the 25th. day of March last
she was delivered of a Female Bastard Child in the House
of Mrs. Jones in Plough Court Carey Street in the Parish
of St. Clemt. Danes in the Liberty of Westmr . which
hath since been baptized by the name of Ann< no role > and is
become Chargeable to the same And further says that
one Chas. May< no role > a Clerk in the Long Room in the Custom
House & who lives at No. 7 in Ayliffe Street Goodmans
Fields in the County of Middx is the father thereof he
having had Carnall knowledge of her Body for sevl. years
last past at sevl. Places and other Lodgings in Plough
Court afsd. at one of which times he got her with Child
of the Female Bastard Child of which she was so
delivered as aforesaid And that the said Chas. May< no role >
& no other Person did beget the same & that he is the
real & true father thereof
