her Oath says she never was Married rented House
paid Taxes or ever lived a hired Yearly Servant for
One Year nor has she gained any Settlement whatever
Otherwise than by birth which was by the Llahan in
the County of Carmathen And further on her Oath
says that on the 1st. of March Instant she was delivered
of a Female Bastard Child in the Workhouse belonging
to the said Parish of St. Clement Danes which hath
since been baptized by the name of Sarah< no role > and is now
Chargeable thereto she being Poor & unable to maintain
the same and that one John Maddox< no role > an Attorney in
Stanhope Street is the Father thereof he having had
Carnal Knowledge of her Body at her late Master's
House in New Inn [..] the latter End of
June last [..] particular [..] now
remember and at Sevl. different times after [..]
at One of Which times he got her with Child of the
Female Bastard Child of Which she was so delivered
as aforesaid and that the said John Maddox< no role > and no
Other person did beget the same and that he is the
real & true Father thereof.
