She never was Married Rented House or paid Taxes Says She
Lived a Hired yearly Servant with Mrs. Richards at Mr.
Hopwoods in Carey Street in the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes in the Liberty of Westminster for Fifteen Months at the
yearly Wages of Five Pounds Hath quitted her said Service
about Six years ago since which time She hath gained neither
Settlement And further on her Voluntary Oath says that on
the 17th. day of August last She was delivered of a Male Bastard
Child in the Workhouse belonging to the said Parish of
Saint Clement Danes which [..] since been Baptized by the
Name of John Edwards< no role > and is now Chargeable to the said Parish
She being Poor and Unable to Maintain the same And further
says that One James< no role > otherwise Robert Gardner< no role > at the Sign of the George iiv
Broud Saint Giles is the Father thereof He having had Carnal
knowledge of her Body at his the said Robert Gardner< no role > s House
at Different times for near Two years last past at One of which
He got her with Child of the Male Bastard Child of
which She was so delivered as aforesaid And that the said
Robert Gardner< no role > and no other person did beget the same and
that He is the Read and true Father thereof
