to wit Sarah Skegg< no role > [..] Aged about Twenty four Years on her Oath
says She never was Married Rented House paid Taxes or ever
[..] served any Apprenticeship says She lived a hired yearly
Servant with Mr. Sidebotham an Attorney in Carey Street in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes for one Year and an half at the
Yearly Wages of Five Pounds hath quitted her said Service
about Three years ago since which time She hath gained no other
Subsequent Settlement And further on her Voluntary Oath says
She is Pregnant with Child or Children which is or are likely to be
born a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable to the
said Parish of Saint Clement Danes She being Poor and unable
to Maintain the same when born And further says that one
John Kidney< no role > a Grocer in Castle Street Shoreditch did beget
such Bastard Child or Children on her Body he having had
Carnal knowledge of her Body in her late Masters House in
Basinghall Street London some time in the Month of April
last but the Particular Day She does not now remember
And at several Different times afterwards at one of which She is
now Pregnant And that the said John Kidney < no role > and no other
Person did beget the same and that he is the real and true
Father thereof
