to wit Jane Johnson< no role > Aged about Twenty five
Years on her Oath says she never was Married Rented
House or paid Taxes says she lived a hired Yearly Servant
with one Mr. Poole Attorney in Palsgrave Place in the
Strand in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex upwards of One Year at the Yearly Wages
of Six Guineas hath quitted her said Service about
Nine Months ago since which time she hath gained
no other subsequent Settlement And further on her
Oath Says she was delivered of a Female Bastard
Child in the Westmr. new lying in Hospital on the 12th. day
of August last which has since been baptized by the
Name of Johanna Mary< no role > and is likely to become Chargable
to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes she being
Poor and unable to maintain the same And that one Mr.
George Boswell< no role > an Attorney at Law at Witton Hall near
Birmingham in the County of Warwick is the Father
thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of her Body in
her said Masters House some time in the Month of
November 1777 but the particular day she does not now
remember and at several different times afterwards at one
of which times he got her with Child of the Female Bastard
Child of which she was so delivered as aforesaid And that
the said George Boswell< no role > & no other person did beget the
same and that he is the real & true Father thereof
