Sarah Mc.Cloud< no role > Aged about Nineteen Yrs.
on her Oath Says she never was married Rented
House or paid Taxes Says she lived a hired
Yearly Servant with one John Colles< no role > in Cumberland
Court Drury Lane in the Parish of St. Clement
Danes for Two Years or thereabouts at the Yearly
Wages of five pounds hath quitted her said Service
about [..] Two Years ago and hath not since she
quitted the same done any Act whereby to gain
a Subsequent Settlement And further upon her
Oath Says that on the 6th. day of August 1775 she
was delivered of a Female Bastard Child in the
Workhouse belonging to the sd. Parish of Saint
Clement Danes which has since been Baptized
by the Name of Sarah< no role > and is become Chargeable
to the said Parish she being poor and unable to
maintain the same And that one John Alexander< no role >
a Journey man Smith who now works with one
Mr. Askins a Smith in the Old Bailey is the Far.
thereof he having had Carnal of her Body in her said
late Mars. House sometime in the Month of July 1774
but the particular day she does not now remember and
at different times afterwards at one of which times he
got her with Child of the Female Bastard Child of which
She was so delivered as afsd. And that the said John
Alexander
< no role > & no other person is the real & true Father
thereof
