Martha Bagshaw< no role > aged abt. 26 Yrs. upon Oath saith she never
was married and that she lived a Yearly Servant with
Mr Wells at the Crown Alehouse opposite York Buildings
in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields in the Liberty of
Westmr . for one Year and upwards at the Yearly Wages
of Three Pounds left her sd. Service about three Years ago
& has not Since Rented ten Pounds a Year paid Parish
taxes lived a Yearly Servant for one Year or otherwise
gained a Settlement in any other Place to her Knowledge
or beleif and further upon her Voluntary Oath saith
she was taken in Labour Wandering in the Street in the Parish of
St Clemt. Danes in the Liberty of Westmr . about two of the
Clock in the morning of the 16th. of Novr last [..] being
Destitute of a Lodging & having laid in the Street the
preceding Night & being brought to one of the Parish
Nurses belonging to the Parish of St Clemt. Danes was
there a few hours afterwards delivered of a male
bastard Child which has been baptized Thomas< no role > and
that Thos. Woodhouse< no role > a Soldier in the first Regimt.
of Foot Guards did beget the sd. male bastard Child
on her body the said Thomas Woodhouse< no role > having
had carnal Knowledge of this Examinant
