Mary Burgen aged about 21 Years a Vagrant tak [..]
out of the Street in [..] Labour on the first Day of
this Instant March upon Oath saith she is a Singlewoman
and that she Served Seven Years Apprentiship with
Mrs. Carter a Clear Starcher in Thackems Court in
the Parish of St. Martin in the fields in the Liberty of
Westmr. and never rented Ten pounds a Year paid Parish
Taxes lived a Yearly Servt. for one Year or otherwise
gained a Settlemt. in any other Place to her knowledge
or beleif and further upon her Voluntary Oath
saith she was on the sd. first Day of March Inst. delivered
of a Male Bastard Child in a Room belonging to
Mr. Gilberthorpe in little Sheir Lane in the Parish
of St Clemt. Danes in the County of Middx which has
been Baptized David Bird< no role > .
