Sarah Davie< no role > upon Oath says she is the wido.
of Richard Davie and now Resides in the
Parish of Carlton in the County of Badford by
Vertue of a Certificate and at the hands and
Seals of the Church wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex bearing Date the
12th. Day of January 1740 Says her sd. late
husband Richard Davie< no role > dyed as or about the
Twenty seventh Day of June 1744. By whom
she hath has Children (viz) Mary< no role >
aged [..] six years & one Quarter and Sarah< no role >
aged about Three Years & an Half says the said
Richard Davie< no role > has not since the Granting
of the sd. Certificate rented ten pounds a Year
or Served an annual Office whereby to
gain a Settlement in any other Place to
her knowledge or belief and that she
(this Examinant hath not since) the Death
of the sd. Richard Davie rented ten pounds
a Year or otherwise gained a Settlemt in
any other Place to her knowledge or belief

Sworn Before me one of his Majesty
Justices of the peace in & for the County
of Bedford living near ye parish of
Carlton aforesd this 5th July 1748
