of Christchurch in the County of Surry by Order
bearing Date the 30th. Day of July last
upon Oath Says he was bound out an Apprentice
(by the Society for the Reformation of manners)
to Edward Vaughan< no role > in Bennets Court in the
Strand in the Parish of St. Martin in the feilds
in the Liberty of Westmr. Basket maker for
Nine Years & lived with his sd. Master in Bennets
Court aforesd. Seven Years & then the sd. Edwd. Vaughan
removed into Vear Street near Claremarket
in the Parish of St. Clement. Danes in the Liberty
of Westmr. aforesd. where this Examinant lived
with his sd. Master the last two Years of the
sd. Term of Nine Years & hath been out of his
sd. Aprentiship upwds. of 20 Years Says he
never rented ten pounds a Year paid Parish Taxes
lived a Yearly Servt. for one Year or otherwise
gained a Settlemt. in any other Place to his knowledge
or beleif Says he intermarried with Mary< no role > his
Wife at the fleet London upwds. of 19 Years since
& hath by her two Children (to wit) James< no role > aged abt. ten
Yrs. & Mary Ann< no role > aged abt. 7 Yrs. & is Poor & not able to
maintain them
