(to wit) Ann Gilgrist< no role > Aged 40 years
or thereabouts upon her Oath saith
that about 16 years ago she was Married by
Banns to her late Husband John Gilgrist< no role >
at the parish Church of St. Michael in
the Town of Cambridge that previous to
such Marriage her said Husband had
lived about Nine years as an hired yearly
Servant with Mr.. Cudden in Essex Street
in the Strand in the parish of St Clement
Danes in the said County and Liberty
at the yearly Wages of£9 wh£20whichwhose
Service he quitted abt. 3 Months after his
Marriage and this Examinant saith that
since, he hath not gained any legal
settlement to the best of her knowledge, that
her said Husband Died about 3 Months ago that
she hath one Child now living by her said
Husband Named William< no role > of the Age of 12
years and that she is Poor and unable
to support herself & Son
