to wit Joseph Cook< no role > of No. 3 Clements Lane in the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex
Shoemaker upon his Oath saith that he was Married
to Elizth.< no role > his now Wife at the Parish Church of
Laughton le Morthin in Yorkshire the 6th. day of March
1764 that he has One Son named Joseph< no role > by his said
Wife besides four other Children that his said Son
Joseph< no role > is about 25 Years of Age that he has never to
the best of this Examinants Knowledge gained or
acquires any Settlement in his own right unless as
this Examinant himself conceived but is now informed
Otherwise he might have acquired such Settlement
serving him this Ext. for 7 Years under an Indorsement in
writing without Stamp on the back of this Exts. own
Indres of Apprenticeship that this Ext. was bound an
Appr . by Indre duly executed to Richard Binney< no role >
of Worksop in the County of Notting ham Shoemaker
for the Term of 7 years and Duly served the whole
of his sd. Appship to his sd. Master there except.
abt. 8 Months the than residue there of which his Father
bought out and his Indres were then delivered up
that since Quitting his sd. Master's Service he has
not rented an house Land or Tenement of the yearly
Value of £10. pd. any ratesofor Taxes or done any Act
Matter or thing whereby to the best of his Knowledge informed
or belief he may have gained or acquired any
subsequent Settlemt. [..] other than in the sd Parish
of Worksop in the County of Notting ham And this
Ext. further Saith that his said Son Joseph< no role > is in an
