(to wit) Elizabeth Hyde< no role > singlewoman , aged
Nineteen years or there abouts upon her
Oath Saith That she never was married
that about a fortnight ago to wit in the 10th Day of August Instant she was
delivered of a female Bastard Child
since Christened by the Name of Frances< no role >
and further this Examinant on
her Oath Saith that James Sharpe< no role >
of Clare Market Buteland and was one else is the
father of the said Child having had
Carnal Knowledge of this Deponents
Body and legs their the same
thereon and that she this Examinant
being poor and unable to maintain
herself in her lying in, has been best
to and in the Workhouse of Saint
Clement Danes and is now maintain
there at the Expence of the Parish
