loaded with same Straw and other Things
Mr. Stevenson's Cart (the Horse being on a
gentle Walk) towards Kentish Town the
deceased was upon the last which was between Charles Street & Kentish To wit and endeavourg
to spread [..] some Blankets ever the Straw and
[..] and other Things to keep them dry as it
rained very [..] fast, [..] he slipped
from off the Top of the Cart on the off side
thereof and fell with his Face an the Road
upon which in I stopped the Horse and lefted
up the deceased and took him to Public
house called the Solls Arms when he was
quite sensible and complained very much
of a pain on the back part of his left
Shoulder and I sent for a Surgeon directly
who came and bled him and [..] a Coach
and helped him into it and one of my
Fallow

Fallow Servants conveyed him to his Lodgings
No. 9 in Edmonds Court Princes Street
and every means was used to recover him
but without the desired Effect as he
expired about two o'Clock Yesterday
morning (the 18th. Instant) and I am of Opinion that
his death was occasioned by the
Bruises which he received from
falling off the Cart
