to Bellamy on Pipers Barge and I went
with them and Vent as had them to go into
the Cabin with him [..] bring out the
Thief [..] but they told [..] they did
not think their was very Thief thief there
Vent then called out to the Man in the Cabin
and said he would blow out his
Brains if he did not come out,
the Man then came up and says do
you think I am afraid to face such
an old Rascal as you Vent then
said something but I could not tell
what and them he fired off the Piece
against the Mans Breast, and after
he had find it off he hot the deceased
several times over his had or
Shoulders with the Piece and imme-
diately ran off from the Craft to
Shore and I never saw him afterwards
