in Ship Yard
to my Son's Lodging for I'm afraid he
is dead as I have been to his Room door
which is locked within side and I have
knocked loudly at his Room door and
no one Answered upon which I
went with Mr. Langdon and as we
could not get into the Room I fetched
a Smith and as he could not pick
the Lock on Accot of the Key being
in the Lock, I burst wrenched open
the Door with the Smiths Chissel
and upon entreing the Room we saw
the deceased lying on his Back in his
Red, andwasI unbuttonedhis Shirt
the Collar of his Shirt and found that
he was quite dead and stiff, that
there were no Marks of Violence upon
his Body I am much inclined to
believe that he died suddenly in a
Fit
