to Wit,
An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Dwelling House of John Plant< no role > the Sign of the King's Head in James Street Parish
of Saint Margaret within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church
of St. Peter, Westminster , in the County of Middlesex , the twenty seventh day of May 1799
in the thirty ninth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third,
by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith,
and so forth, before Anthony Gell< no role > , Esq . Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City
and Liberty, on View of the Body of Joseph Stock< no role > then and there
lying dead, upon the Oath of the several Jurors whose Names are here under Written, and
Seals affixed, good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly chosen, who being then and
there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the King, when, how, and by
what Means the said Joseph Stock< no role > came to h is Death, do upon
their Oath say that Robert Wilkie< no role > late of Perkins's Rents in the Parish of Saint John
in the Liberty aforesaid

not having the fear of God before his Eyes but moved and seduced by the Justigation Dept
the Devil on the twenty second day of May in the year aforesaid with force and arms
at the Parish and in the Liberty aforesaid in and upon the said Joseph Stock< no role > in the peace of God and of our
said Lord the King then and there being, feloniously Wilfully and of his Malice forethought did make an aforesaid
and that the said Robert Wilkie< no role > did then and there give unto the said Robert Stock< no role > divers Mortal
Blows on the head and left Eye of him the said Joseph Stock< no role > : of Which said Mortal Blows he the said
Joseph Stock< no role > from the said twenty second day of May in the Year aforesaid to the twenty fifth
day of the same Month in the same year at the Parish of Saint Margaret within the Liberty
aforesaid To Wit in the Westminster Infirming there Situate did Languish, and
Languishig did live, on Which said twenty fifth day of May in the Year aforesaid at the
Parish and in the Liberty aforesaid To Wit in the Westminster Infirmary aforesaid of the
Mortal Blows aforesaid, did die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid,
do say that the said Robert Wilkie< no role > him the said Joseph Stock< no role > in manner and by
the Means aforesaid felonious wilfully and of his Malice forethought did kill and
murder against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity and that the
said Robert Wilkie< no role > after committing the Felony and Murder aforesaid withdrew and
fled for the same.

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said Coronor as the said Jurors, have to this Inquitition
set their Hands and Seals the Day, Year, and Place first above Written.
