An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the House of William Wilson< no role > the Sign of the White lion Hemmings Row in the Parish of St
Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church
of St. Peter, Westminster , in the County of Middlesex , the twenty ninth day of April 1799
in the thirty ninth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third,
and so forth, before Anthony Gell< no role > , Esq . Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City
and Liberty, on View of Body of Jacob Crook< no role > then and there
lying dead, upon the Oath of the several Jurors whose Names are here under written, and
Seals affixed, good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly chosen, who being then and
there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the King, when, how, and by
what Means the said Jacob Crook< no role > came to h is Death, do upon
their Oath say that the said Jacob Crook< no role > on the twenty seventh day of April
in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and in the Liberty aforesaid
To Wit in chandos Street then & that being It so happened
that accidentally casually & by Misfortune a Wheel of a
certain Cart drawn by three Horses which was then & that
passing by passed out the Head of him the said Jacob
Crook
< no role > by means whereof the head of him the said Jacob
Crook
< no role > was then and fracture of which said Fracture
he the said Jacob Crook< no role > then & that instantly died And
so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Path aforesaid do say
that the said Jacob Crook< no role > in manne & ley the Means
aforesaid Accidentally casually and by Mixfor lune causl
to be Death & not otherwise. That the saidJacobCart
Wheel was moving to the Death of the said Jacob
Crook

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said Coroner as the said Jurors, have to this Inqusition
set their Hands and Seals the Day, Year, and Place first above written.
