Informations of unsecsses taken
this 30th. April 1798 at the House
of Benjamin Lowe< no role > the Sign of the three Kings in the
Sign Parish of St George Hanover Square (in Davies Street ) on view of the
Body of Maria Charlotte Briand< no role > then & there lying dead.
John Tamiere No 89 new Bond Street
being sworn, saith, that, the Deced was french
woman & a Journey woman at his House & has
lived in the house for abt. 4 Months that on Sundaythat Saturday
Morning last at near 2 o'Clock this Dept. took
a Candle & [..] & the Trinity Supposed she
has gove to Bed this Dept. was then in Bed
& upon an Alarm being given of five this Dept
went down & upon going into a vault adjoining
the [..] he saw the Deced lying down on the
Ground quite naked the five having entirely consumed
every artide of her apparel except a small part
of the Stocking she was taken upstairs &
lived near three hours the died ¼ before
5 O'Clock
