first day of Decr. 1797 in the Parish of St
Magt. Westmr . at the House of
Spice the Sign of the Feathers in Dean Street
near Tothill Street Westmr. before Anthy
Gell
< no role > his Majesty's Coroner for sd. City and
Liberty touching the Death of a Man
name then and there [..] lying dead as follow
to Wit.

James Callaway< no role > of Christ Church in Surrey
Fisherman being sworn deposeth, that about
ten o'Clock Yesterday morning (the 30th. of Novr.
as he was fishing close to Westminster Bridge
he hauled the deceased from the bottom of the
River Thames with his Fishing Net and
brought it directly to the wooden Bridge just
above Westmr. Bridge leading into Palace
Yard when he in the presence of divers other Persons
examined the Body and observed that he
had no Shirt, but had a Neck Clock round his
Neck and three Waistcoats on, and a Black
Coat a pair of Drab Colour'd Worstead small
Cloaths and Silk Stockings no buckles but
Strings in his Shoes, no Money in his
