Memorandum That the Jury on View of the Body
which had never been moved, observed that the deceased lay
flat on his Face on the Carpet at the Foot of the Bed, and a
great Quantity of Blood on the Carpet at the Foot of the Bed, and a
Etc and part of his Brains also on the Carpet and also
some shatter'd parts of his Scull on the Carpet and some
Spots of Blood on the Ceiling and other parts of the Room
and several small leaden Bullets the Size of a large
Pea were found on the Carpet near the [..] Deceased
and it appeared to sd. Jury that the deceased had put
the muzzle of the Blunderbuss behind his left Ear
and by firing off the same it blew off part of his
Scull and likewise blew out part of his Brains
and upon Dr. Morris the Parish Surgeon, then present,
examining the head the hole being large enough
to admit his hand he found the remaining parts of
his Scull [..] on the opposite side
of the head very much shatter'd and was of opinion that a
great part of the Contents of the Blunderbuss had lodged in his
head as he did not then discover any [..] hole on the
opposite Side of his head, but imagined upon a more minute Examination
it
it would be discovered that part of the Contents
had passed thro' the Head as some small leaden
Bullets were found on the Carpet near the deceased.
