bed she and one Miss Williams (who like
wise a lodged in the House went to the
Nephew [..] of the deceased formed Edwd. Phillips< no role >
(who lodged in Holborn ) and acquainted him
with the Circumstance who came immediately
to his Uncles House and broke open the
Room Door as she is informed and found
his Uncle dead in bed.

being sworn deposeth that he was in the
the deceased the greatest part of [..]
Yesterday (the 19th. Instant) and rupper
with burn last Night about ½ part 8
that he has had a bad Cold and Coach and
Shortness of Breath of some time part
that two of the Lodgers in this Uncle house came this morning to
this Deponent about 11 o'Clock and told him
they believed his Uncle was dead in his Room
as they had [..] tried his Room door which
was fastned and they had looked thro' the back
Window and believed her was in bad whereupon
this Deponent went immediately to his Uncle's
house

house and knocked at his Room, door but received
no Answer, he then went into the Yard and looked
thro' the Window and Could discover that he was
in bed but did not move whereupon he went
in and in the presence of the Maid Servant he broke
open the Door when he percieved [..] the
Keys of both the doors lying on the Table
Close to the bedside and his Uncle quite
dead whereupon he sent immediately
andto Mr Davis the Parish Clerk Mr.
Todgersire the opposite Neighbour and
Mr. Manly who all came and sawthat
he was quite motion less and dead and who
said it was to no purpose as there was no Symptums
of life in him.
